Eco-Responsibility

Domaine de Verderonne is committed to local sustainable development

Our concrete actions include:

  • Clean energy & smart water management

  • Nature preservation & biodiversity

  • Support for the local economy

  • Inclusion & social responsibility

  • Eco-actions & zero waste

Clean energy & smart water management

The estate is heated by a biomass boiler that supplies all buildings, fully eliminating fossil fuel usage. The biomass is sourced 100% locally, and heating is managed through smart thermostats.
All lighting is LED-based, and staff transportation on-site is done via electric vehicles.
Water is carefully managed using rainwater harvesting, automated irrigation systems, and leak detection.

    Nature preservation & biodiversity

We actively support biodiversity through birdhouses, a colony of native black bees, responsible mowing practices, and the protection of rare plant species.
Wildlife is monitored in collaboration with associations such as LPO and ArMell.
Our gardens are entirely pesticide- and chemical-free, maintained using natural, organic methods.
Throughout the year, migratory species such as terns, swallows, and wild geese find refuge on the estate.

      Support for the local economy

We prioritize local partnerships: 80% of our suppliers are from the surrounding area.
For private events, we provide clients with a trusted network of nearby service providers (caterers, DJs, artisans).
We also produce and source local products such as apple juice, honey, and orchard fruits — all responsibly harvested on-site or nearby.

        Inclusion & social responsibility

Domaine de Verderonne is open and accessible to all, proudly holding the Tourisme & Handicap label since 2016.
For over 10 years, we have collaborated with an ESAT (a work integration facility for people with disabilities) for linen care, affirming our commitment to social inclusion and solidarity-based economy.
